Hunter Jumper
The mission of NSBA is to grow the show horse community through programs that benefit the horses, owners, breeders and exhibitors alike. As the hunter jumper division develops within NSBA, stakeholders can look forward to programs that enhance and celebrate success at every level.
Eligibility
Eligibility is determined by the sire’s nomination into the BCF during the foaling year. Eligible horses can enroll anytime as a weanling through three years old.
Stallion Nominations:
By May 15th of foaling year - $500
After May 15th per foaling year - $800
Foal Nominations:
By December 15th of foaling year - $125
(Sliding scale for multiple foal enrollments)
By December 16th - May 15th of yearling year - $200
After May 15th of yearling year - $1,000
Two year old year - $2,000
Three year old year - $3,000
Purse Paybacks
Stallion nominators receive 20%
Foal nominators receives 10%
Foal owner receives 70%
(Must remain a current member of NSBA to receive payout)
Classes Offered
A total of 34 classes are offered during the Breeders Championship Futurity. They consist of Longe Line, Western Pleasure, Hunter Under Saddle, Trail, and Western Riding in Open, Non Pro, and Limited divisions.
*A transaction fee of $45 is required for transfer of ownership, change in the name of horse and duplicate certificates. A copy of the horse’s registration papers showing current ownership must accompany the transfer.
